Can't really see what's going on, it's a very tiny image, I think you uploaded a thumbnail by accident.

fixed your original post to display your picture right.  If you'll look at the link of your original post there's a few options on the right side.  You'll get the img code and use it on a forum.

I think the spacing between rows might be a little narrow, IIRC we where using a 6ft gap.  The projectors/big screen TVs..... eh. They're cool and flashy and all that, but honestly you're better served by having more stations there instead of using a large amount of sqft for a single station.  Having a large screen to display MLG matches or play movies though, that can help grow your community.

The lobby area, is that an actual wall blocking it off from the rest of the room, or is that there just for visualization purposes? It seems unnecessary.

Thanks for taking a look Alomax.

Several reasons went into the big screens mainly: 1) multiple paying users on 1 station that would 2) parties 3) an area for stand up games. These 2 stations would have all 3 consoles available and would be the only areas for Wii and PS3.

Future plans include cameras, simulcasting and possibly podcasting and this would be a good area for it.

What we just added, but I didn't have time to add to the drawing are 2 large projection screens on the long wall over the stations. This would be background video, leader boards, movies etc.

This space was a Mailboxes Etc type business and the lobby area is actually a glass wall. The outside entrance would be directly into the lobby so all entering and leaving has to pass the front counter. The plan is to make it a place to get out of the noise but still see the floor. Being a parent, I liked the energy that comes with gaming and tournaments but would like a place to get off my feet for a while. It will have a kitchenette, TV with satellite and be somewhat quieter than what I expect the floor to be.

I catered to parents during football season with a floor section for them and it was...Very profitable.  But then again Arkansas has a great College team.  NFL never did that well here.

You underestimate moms and football too.  Give them a big screen and some sorta keep a drink in your hand or leave policy.  They bring their kids (sometimes not) and I let them sit with their friends away from view of everyone else and let them BYOB.  Especially sell on game day you can give their kids something to do while they watch the game and it can make bank, at least in the south it works.
