Headsets.....
« on: August 27, 2010, 12:45:49 AM »
As I get more and more players in the store actively playing CODMW2, HALO, and other games I've gotten requests for head sets.
Not many but a few enough to notice at least.

I've got one of the cheap ones for the 360 and have let people use if free of charge a few times.

I'm looking at getting some blue tooth head sets for the PS3's to use. Been searching Amazon and Tigerdirect. Which with igames gives a discount but not sure if that's limited to a certain selection of items. I figured 4 headsets to start and charge a person 5-10 bucks to use them no matter the amount of time price would depend on the price and quality of the headset. The Xbox headsets can be wired to the controllers PS3 uses bluetooth so I've looked at a few even a pretty cheap looking one is $50 so I'd have to have it used 5 times to break even before it breaks figure in shipping probably 6. Not many people will use them since there will be an extra charge but I'd like to give them the option. The customers that spend the most time there and comment on how much they like the place are the same ones that tend to take a little more care with the equipment and always return controllers to the correct place.

All the PC's have the decent cheap headsets they work fine and we haven't had any issues at all out of them. Most of the PC guys end up bringing in their own PC's and gear. Which I don't have an issue with at this point and hope to add some extra desks and an extra switch for them to hook up to.

So any thoughts, ideas, or resources to buy some cheap bluetooth headsets at least 4 to start.

Of course they'd have to be PS3 compatible.

never really had a demand for ps3 headsets.  Most people just brought their own blue tooth headset in and sync'd it up.  So unfortunately I can't be much help on that one.

I've found some CHEAP CHEAP ones but have to test them out.

The 360 head sets that plug into the controller from amazon for only $6.99 thinking about buying them just to resell...

I wouldn't have a problem letting them sync up their own. I figured if I had these here at the store I could charge extra for people to use them.

Just gotta talk the boss(Jen) into letting me have some $$$ or wait till I get paid and buy them myself.
Hard to beat those prices.

I've had more and more people asking for headsets...

Today I've already had 5 new customers. and only been open 2 hours. I have a feeling today we're going to fill up.

Yeah they look pretty sweet...all good reviews too...I'm going to get one of each and see what the connectivity is like with the PS3's then just add the ones I can talk Jen into.

Been slammed since Friday afternoon.
1st Tourney for COD MW2 went very well this morning no problems, network worked great, and the final two teams were full of regular customers SO I WAS VERY HAPPY.

We've got a crowd building again today.
