The magazine does not surprise me...but it's odd to see such a staple in the gaming community (at least as I was growing up) fall away from relevance.

I saw this coming.  Most people won't pay for information these days.  Not with the internet.  I believe the internet is slowly killing the subscription based magazine model.  They only reason I buy game magazines these days is for the demos and such that are contained in the magazines and those have been mediocre at best the last few years.

I have a Wired subscription for the sole reason that I need something to read on the can. :p

I agree with both of you (Deeds & Alomax).  I usually only purchased these magazines for the demos or as coffee table reading material.

I prefer GameInformer.  I like the cover art.
