Diablo's minions grow stronger.I feel like I've lurked long enough, that it was about time I finally posted! First off, there is a vast wealth of information here, and it is simply awesome. So, a big thanks to Deeds for creating this community and thanks to anyone and everyone who has shared their knowledge/experiences so far regarding the LAN Center industry. Several posts by RsteelAUG, Alomax, and johnlarson, just to name a few, have been extremely helpful in getting me started in the research stages.
I'm still in the dream big/joking stages right now as the idea of starting a LAN Center honestly only just popped into my head about a month or so ago. The problem is... I can't seem to get it out of my head and stumbling upon this community, I now can't seem to do anything BUT think about running a LAN Center. I already have some questions lined up, but I'll keep this thread to introductions for the moment and not quite bombard everyone yet... I should be working anyways.
Now, just to wrap these introductions with a bit about myself. I grew up on videogames and they've pretty much become my life. I'm lucky enough to have found a wife who I was able to convert to my video gaming ways and now shares my passion for it. We have no children and don't particularly plan to have any, as our one dog seems to be enough for us

. Let's see... I went to school for video game design and have a bachelor's degree to show for that, but very little in the way of actual
games designed. Life took some interesting turns and I find my desire to truly design games isn't burning quite as hot as it used to, so here I am. I'm an aspiring LAN Center owner, gaming enthusiast, bargain-hunter, and beer drinker. I'm looking forward to participating in the community and hope to discover whether this truly is a venture I'd like to undertake.
