I went one year at a college due to a $5000 scholarship. The full cost was $6,000. So I paid only  $1,000. I made out pretty good. For the entire year I only spent on living expenses about $2,000 plus that $1000. At that point in time I had completely stopped gaming so I had no entertainment while at school. I know how boring a small college like that got. A game center would be nice for colleges like that.

Reason I hate college nowadays is because for a degree, which you can only make $50,000 you can pay double to triple the price to go to school. When my Dad went to school he paid $30,000 and he could make, which he does, around $150,000. Many degrees that I have seen you will pay more upfront than you can make in one year.

The way I see it you should be able to make more than your college loan. In one year to make it worth the pay.

Its really ironic, cause nothing I learned in the Computer Science side of things have actually been directly applicable to my professional career.  IT changes to fast for a 4 year college to be of any worth.

And yet you put all that money into it too. Sad is it not? I guess, that is why they are trying to keep the platforms out longer rather than have a new one out. They said it was to expensive to keep retraining their personal every 2-3 years. DUH, lol.

Eh, I was on scholarship,  and they loans I did take out for school was to pay for my place to stay.  I wouldn't trade my college "experience" for anything.  But the experience didn't come from the classes.  It came from the social aspect and the ease of finding like minded geeks when you were in college.

makes since, but all my college friends want nothing to do with me anymore. I noticed the downward spiral when I eloped after the first year lol.
