Windows 7 Compatibility
« on: September 06, 2011, 05:36:16 AM »
I have looked on the Smartlaunch website, which says that smartlaunch only works up to windows vista. But their support forums clearly show that they have a beta running on windows 7. If there a commercially available version that runs on 7?

Yes.. and it doesn't work right.  Would be kinda pointless thou cause you majority of games won't work with wine properly.

W7 Pro FTW, especially if you are using WSvr2003/2008. We have been using it in our centers since before SP1 and it has been a vast improvement over manageability and for mappings and rights assignments.

So there aren't any issues with running it on Win7 Pro?

We've set up entire stores using Win7, no major issues.  Just be sure to use Pro so you can take advantage of Active Directory.
