Gift Cards, promote them and sell them. Hand out flyers to your young gamers to take to their parents. Hell have them take it to their grandparents. But sell gift cards. They are an excellent revenue driver for slow times in your center and can generate you a sizable amount of money up front. I personally used smartlaunch’s capabilities to do gift cards and it worked out fantastic.
I make the gift cards usable on time purchases, apparel, concessions, and anything else you sell. For one it helps you move merchandise you have had problems selling. A lot of kids will bring in the gift card grandma bought them and use it all at once and normally they get things in the shop they would NEVER normally buy. And they make sure they can use ever little cent of it too.
It also doesn’t have to be the holiday season to sale the gift cards either. Just make sure you make it known that you do offer them. I actually setup a program with a few customers that every 20 dollar gift card they sold I would give them 1 dollar. I ended up paying out one customer 200 dollars in 1 week! That was 4000 dollars of gift cards he sold in one week. (It also acted 2 fold, in his process of trying to sell GCs he was advertising for my game center also)
These are just one of many ideas I had that were fairly successful in my game center and I wanted to share with everyone. Hopefully you’ll have as much success with it as I did.
